Altman Siegel is pleased to announce the release of Shannon Ebner's text animation "Between Words Pause." The animation is comprised of letters from Ebner's STRIKE alphabet as first seen in the 2008 Whitney Biennial. Since that time, Ebner has been redeploying the STRIKE alphabet in a myriad of forms from large scale photographs, to repeating wallpaper patterns, image cut-ups, newspaper mastheads and most recently the start of this new body of work of text animations. Ebner's first text animation "THECSTATICALPHABE" was debuted at her recent solo show, Invisible Language Workshop at Wallspace in New York.
