In Conversation: Max Blue and Jeff Gunderson on Adaline Kent's Legacy, 2024

In conjunction with the Adaline Kent exhibition, Altman Siegel is pleased to host a conversation about the artist with writer Max Blue and Jeff Gunderson, archivist with the San Francisco Art Institute Legacy Foundation, on Saturday, June 29 at 2pm. This event is free and open to all.

 Max Blue’s art criticism has appeared in Artsy, Cultured, Hyperallergic, KQED and the San Francisco Examiner, among others, and he has written catalog essays for 500 Capp Street, Paul Thiebaud Gallery and Telematic Media Arts, among others. He lives in San Francisco.
 
Jeff Gunderson is an archivist with the San Francisco Art Institute Legacy Foundation. He has written on the history of California art and photography and done presentations on the history of Bay Area conceptual art, and the influence of art libraries on artists. His most recent publication is “Adaline Kent: Communities & Comraderies, 1920s-1950s,” an essay for the retrospective exhibition catalog, Adaline Kent: Click of Authenticity (Rizzoli: 2023). He is currently working on a collection of essays about open water swimming.
